The children all tried to programme a rocket to land on different planets whilst avoiding obstacles.
How do you think you did?
We continued with our outdoor adventure activities this afternoon.
We did some team work skills by playing a game involving hoops, and using some maths skills to place certain amount of body parts within a hoop!
Afterwards, we did some orienteering to find puzzle pieces, using a map of the school grounds. When all 9 pieces were found we created the puzzle!
Having done an adventure story with some great action involved we started to look at descriptions of settings in a little more detail.
We were talking about how important it was to be descriptive so the reader knows what the writer is thinking.
For example you can't just write "I was walking a long the beach." As without more description, the reader might think something different to what the writer wants!
Today's lesson was all about control and balance, of which the class showed lots of it!
